Phi Alpha Theta is the national history honor society and Liberty’s chapter would like you to consider joining if you meet the minimum qualifications: 12 hours of history courses, 3.1 or higher GPA in all of your history courses, and at least a 3.0 GPA overall.

After your application is reviewed and your academic record checked, you will be informed as to whether you have met the requirements or not. If you have, you will be asked to pay a one-time fee of $50. This fee provides a lifetime membership to the national Phi Alpha Theta, a lifetime membership to the local chapter, and a one year subscription (4 volumes) to the society’s journal, The Historian. You can continue to receive The Historian after your first year for a nominal fee.
