Through Liberty’s Interlibrary Loan/Delivery Service, you may obtain books from the library’s print collection, as well as request articles which are not available in Full-Text online.
Due to shipping time constraints, we only ship books to Liberty University Online students if our library owns the book. We only borrow books from other libraries for Liberty University Online students if a student lives in the Lynchburg area and is willing to come to the library to pick up the books.
If an article is not available in Full-Text online through one of the library’s databases, library staff will either scan it for you from our print periodicals collection, or request it from another library. These articles are usually free of charge, and if obtained, will be delivered to you electronically. NOTE: Please be sure to check for your Journal Title in Journal Finder before placing your article requests, as you may discover a library database could you provide you immediate Full-Text access online.
To request specific books or articles, you must use our ILLiad Interlibrary Loan System. This service requires you to submit a valid citation for a book or an article. This is not a research service.
PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to update your ILLiad account if your information (status, address, etc.) has changed. This information does not automatically update when your Liberty University Online account information changes; it is a completely separate system. It is important that this information be accurate in order to ensure that books you request are sent to the correct address.
