Financial Aid for International Students

The best time to begin your search for scholarships and financial aid is as a prospective student and throughout the admissions process.

The Office of International Admissions makes final scholarship decisions at the point of acceptance based on the student’s academic ability, demonstrated financial need, and country of citizenship. Students and their sponsors are expected to provide the remaining funds for the duration of the student’s academic program.

Students should not expect to receive additional scholarships beyond what they are awarded at the time of admission. Additional scholarships or aid based on financial need are not available once the student arrives on campus, especially during the first year of enrollment.

After the first year, some students may qualify for Honors Scholarships based on superior academic achievement. Others may earn scholarships for serving as a Resident Advisor or in other campus positions which offer scholarship assistance.

Students entering their second year may apply for special Endowment Scholarship funds if their financial circumstances have changed since arriving at Liberty, although awards are generally not large, and funds are limited.

Endowment Scholarships are awarded based on grades, employment history, class level, and documentation of special financial need.

Trained international specialists are available by email, phone, fax, and online chat throughout the admissions process to help applicants obtain the most scholarship assistance possible.
