I truly thank God today for deliverance. from complaining. I had to learn that the more time i spent complaining the less time i spent trusting. Thank you for the scriptures.

Ted, thank you so much for this posting! I am going to copy and paste what you wrote to my facebook page with your name. Thank You for posting the scriptures and comments. I am normally happy go lucky but this past year has been a real fiery trial. My husband passed away 12 years ago of cancer and I was left to finish raising our young children, who are now both teenagers. About 2.5 years ago, The Lord brought us a godly man whom has been everything my children and I prayed for all those years of waiting. In November of 2012, he became seriously ill and continues to worsen. This past year has been so hard on my children , my fiance' and my myself. I did not choose for my children and I to go through this again 12 years later. I find myself complaining way too much. Thank you for the scriptures and your comments. They were the exact reminder I needed from the Lord today.

Don't you think it's easier to complain than to give thanks? Most times we tend not to SEE the things around us, only that WHICH is happening to us. In many cases it's not until you see the hardship of someone else that you begin to reflect on those things that have been gifted to you. A new day, health, the ability to go to school, job, food, etc...I agree with Bret about taking time to point out all the ways we are blessed. For every complaint there should be a list of 20 positives.

I honestly think that most of us, have no idea how really blessed we are in comparison to other countries. I always look for the good in people and always count my blessings. Even in the time of trouble, God is working on our behalf always. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

I will admit...I am a complainer. I complain about traffic, and the ride to work. I get upset with people not doing their job or not being held accountable for things they should be and it falling on others. Last night, I was told that a friend of mine was found dead. She had been without so much for so long...including contact with friends, as she had shut us out. Today, I am looking at things a little bit differently, and I hope God gives me the strength to continue. I am thankful for the job I have, the traffic I deal with (as I don't have to walk) and the roof I have over my head. I am thankful for the very few friends I do have and that they have faith to know the right things to say or scripture to direct me when I might rant. I am thankful that I was raised with morals and a conscious, though it may make it harder to see things around me. There is always something for which to be thankful.

Ted I just found your blog, I am so in love with it. I am so thankful for so many things in my life. I am doing the 30 days of thankfulness on FB. Many people complain that you should be thankful all year long, well I am, I just choose to post it in November. I am so happy I have found your blog and see a place for such joy. I am a new student to Liberty and love it already. Thanks for what you are doing.

The world around us makes it too easy to get caught up in a cycle of complaint. Through the Word we are able to break those cycles and see all of the Blessings we receive. The next time you hear someone complaining, take a minute to point out all of the ways we truly are Blessed!
