Maggie Carr joined the Liberty Sports Medicine staff in December 2013, currently holding the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. In her current position, Carr is responsible for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation for Liberty women's soccer and softball teams. She is certified through the Board of Certification (BOC) and holds memberships with the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers' Association (MAATA), and Virginia Athletic Trainers' Association (VATA). Carr previously served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Liberty, assisting with football, swimming & diving, women's soccer and softball, before being promoted to a full-time position. Prior to her time at Liberty, Carr was an Intern Athletic Trainer at Miami (Ohio), specializing with men's and women's swimming & diving. She also spent time as an Athletes in Action Sports Performance Intern with the Xenia Scouts summer collegiate baseball team in Xenia, Ohio. Carr graduated from Gardner-Webb with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2011. She went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Sport Administration from Liberty in 2014.
She is married to Ryan Carr, Assistant Equipment Manager, and the couple currently resides in Lynchburg, Va.
