Amanda Covington stepped into her position of Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer in July 2017.
In her current role, Covington is responsible for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation for the Liberty swimming & diving program. During the 2017-18 academic year, Covington was responsible for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation for the Liberty men's basketball, men's golf and women's swimming & diving programs during their offseasons.
Prior to coming to Liberty, Covington was an Intern Athletic Trainer at Auburn for the 2016-17 academic year. She worked with the women's gymnastics, women's soccer and men's and women's track & field programs for the Tigers.
Covington obtained a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Delta State in 2016, graduating cum laude. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in exercise science with a focus in human performance, which she expects to complete in May 2019.
Covington currently resides in Lynchburg.
