Mike Kelley currently serves as Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports at Liberty, a role he has held since August 2016. Currently, Kelley directs the strength and conditioning for Liberty's men's and women's track & field, cross country, men's golf and cheerleading programs. He also, assists with men's baseball and swimming & diving programs.
Prior to joining the Flames' staff, Kelley served as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Robert Morris University, starting in August 2015. While at Robert Morris, he directed and designed the strength and conditioning programs for the softball, volleyball and freshman football, while also assisting with strength programs for the football, men's and women's basketball teams.
Prior to Robert Morris, Kelley earned experience at FOCUS: Human Performance where he was the Assistant Director of Athlete Development from January 2014 through April 2014. His main responsibilities were to design and implement strength and conditioning programs for high school and college aged athletes.
Prior to working at FOCUS: Human Performance, Kelley completed strength and conditioning internships at The University of Kentucky, Slippery Rock University and West Virginia University where he assisted in all aspects of training for various teams.
Kelley is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, where he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Kelley graduated with his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Slippery Rock University in May of 2014 where he was a member of the track & field team. Kelley, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., is currently working towards a Masters of Arts Degree in Human Services Counseling: Executive Leadership at Liberty University.
