The Director of Baseball Operations for the Liberty baseball program since July 2014, Daniel Brown oversees several administrative phases of the Liberty baseball program, including team travel, budget, academics, alumni relations and day-to-day operations of the office. In addition, Brown oversees all equipment management, administers camps and is the primary contact on the staff with the umpire crews for every home game. No stranger to the Flames' baseball program, Brown was a member of the Liberty baseball team from 2011-13. A pitcher, he appeared in 22 games without recording a decision. In each of his four seasons, he earned inclusion on the Big South Presidential Honor Roll.
A graduate of Needham B. Broughton High School, Brown was named to the North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association (NCBCA) 4A All-State team as a senior. He was a three-time CAP-7 All-Conference team member and academic all-conference selection. In 2008, he was named the team MVP. A native of Raleigh, N.C., Brown graduated summa cum laude from Liberty in 2013 with a degree in business: marketing. He currently is pursuing a MBA from Liberty. He resides in Lynchburg.
