Tyler McNamara stepped into his current role of Assistant Director of Fan Experience and Promotions in Oct. 2017.
In his current role, McNamara works closely with the Associate Athletics Director for Sales and Promotions and Director of Fan Experience and Promotions to implement marketing plans and strategies in an effort to increase department revenue and attendance while continually improving fan experience. He works specifically with the volleyball, women's basketball and baseball programs in these areas. McNamara also oversees the Liberty University Athletics Golf Tournament.
Prior to coming to Liberty, McNamara served as a Marketing Assistant at Western Kentucky from Aug. 2016-July 2017 and as a Marketing Intern at Florida State (2015-16).
McNamara obtained his bachelor's degree in sport management from Southern Connecticut State in 2015. He then went on to receive a master's degree in sport management from Florida State in 2017. While at Southern Connecticut State, McNamara played club lacrosse for the Owls and served as a captain for two years. At Florida State, McNamara served as an assistant coach for men's lacrosse in 2015 and 2016.
Originally from Connecticut, McNamara currently resides in Lynchburg, Va., with his wife, Danielle. The couple got married in July 2018.
