Erin Hagen has been a member of the Liberty Athletics Senior Staff team since being named Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator in May 2013. Hagen was promoted from her role as Director of Compliance, which she began in 2008.
In her role, Hagen leads the areas of Administration and Strategic Planning and Initiatives, Title IX, Gender Equity and Diversity. She prepares financial bids for the NCAA and postseason conference events, coordinates the degree completion award program, and serves as the liaison to the conference office, Department of Housing, Office of Community Life and The Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
Hagen serves as the sport program administrator for women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis and volleyball.
In addition to her duties as Associate AD/SWA, she has served as a commentator for the Liberty Flames Sports Network (LFSN) since 2009. Hagen serves as the color commentator for Lady Flames volleyball broadcasts.
In her previous position, Hagen served as the Director of Compliance and was involved with the day-to-day operations of the NCAA compliance office, specifically financial aid and eligibility.
Hagen is a 2004 graduate of Liberty, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management. She was a four-year letter winner for the Liberty volleyball program and was named the 2002 Big South Championship MVP and was voted the 2003 Big South Conference Player of the Year. She was a two-time first team All-Big South Conference selection and VaSID first-team selection.
Upon graduating in 2004, Hagen joined the Lady Flames' volleyball coaching staff as a graduate assistant. Hagen served in that role for two years and graduated with her master's degree in business administration in 2006. In July 2006, Hagen accepted a head volleyball coaching position at San Diego Christian College, in El Cajon, Calif.
Hagen, a native of Arizona, resides in Lynchburg with her husband Mike and their daughter Emery.
