Tyde Coffey joined the Liberty men's basketball program in the summer of 2017. As graduate assistant, Coffey is responsible for coordinating video for the program, serving as basketball system analyst, and conducting internal gameday and practice operations. Coffey manages the recruiting database, breaks down video for the men's basketball coaching staff and assists with day-to-day operations in the office.
As a native of Athens, Ala., Coffey recently graduated from Covenant College with a bachelor's degree in sports administration. While at Covenant, he played his first two years and served as student-assistant for the program during his final two years. His role was conducting day-to-day operations, all internal practice and gameday operations, advanced scouting, coordinating video for all games and meal plans for the team on road games. During the last two months of the 2015-16 season, Coffey served as the interim assistant men's basketball coach and interim head junior varsity coach.
Over the past four years, Coffey has worked numerous basketball camps including Alabama, Baylor, Iowa State, North Alabama and Virginia. Coffey also coached on the AAU circuit for the Alabama Basketball Academy. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in sport management at Liberty.
