Today's Flames Minute: Tuesday

Brought to you by Church Mutual Insurance, for this Tuesday, January 7, 2020, I'm Nick Pierce.

Starting with women's hoops – the Lady Flames' six-game win streak came to an end on Monday. In a rematch of the ASUN women's title game, Florida Gulf Coast held off liberty, 64-57. Big night for Liberty's Bridgette Rettstatt, 14 points, 12 rebounds and five steals for her second straight double-double. Liberty returns home to the Vines Center on Saturday for a 2 p.m. match-up with Jacksonville.

Liberty men's basketball senior Caleb Homesley is the ASUN's player of the week. In two games last week, Homesley averaged 22 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Homesley now has three 20-point games this year.

He and the Flames will look to make it 17-1 on Thursday night. Liberty will host North Alabama in the Vines Center at 7 p.m. It'll be the first home game for the Flames since December 2nd.
