Liberty tied a program record, registering its sixth straight shutout in a 4-0 win over Robert Morris, Saturday at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.
Liberty (11-6) has won eight consecutive games overall, and is 3-0 so far at this weekend's Liberty Softball Classic. Robert Morris falls to 3-8 overall, including 1-2 today.
The Lady Flames have won a program-record 25 straight home games, and have tied a program record with six consecutive shutouts. Liberty has not allowed a single run in the last 40 2/3 innings pitched, outscoring opponents 60-0 during that span.

Notable Numbers - Liberty outhit Robert Morris, 7-5, while the Colonials registered the game's only error. - Making her first start at Liberty Softball Stadium, freshman Braelyn Cooper (1-1) earned her first career victory, allowing one hit while facing the minimum in five innings pitched. Chase Cassady tossed two innings of relief, giving up four hits and striking out four. - Laura Coulter (0-4) lost, giving up three runs on six hits, striking out three and walking one in 3 1/3 innings. - Alexis Erich went 1-for-1 with her first career home run, two RBI and two runs scored. She batted 4-for-4 combined in two games today. Kara Canetto batted 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Turning Point - Liberty broke through with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the second. The Lady Flames got breathing room on Erich's two-run blast to right in the third inning, making it 3-0. - The first two RMU batters hit singles to start the seventh. However, Cassady nailed down the shutout, retiring the next three in order.
Beyond the Box Score - Liberty pushed its home winning streak to a program-record 25 games, dating to March 10, 2018. Only Oklahoma (35) has a longer active home winning streak among NCAA Division I softball teams. - The only other time that Liberty pitched six straight shutouts was April 7-14, 2017. That year, the Lady Flames posted a program-record 44-inning shutout streak from April 7-15.
- Cooper became the fifth different Lady Flame to win a game this season. This is the first time since 2017 that five different Liberty pitchers have won at least one game in the same year.
