Liberty saw its three-game win streak come to an end on Saturday as the Flames fell, 36-12, to their Big South rival Coastal Carolina at Brooks Stadium.
The Flames saw two season extremes in the matchup with Coastal Carolina scoring an opponent season high 36 points, while holding Liberty to a season low 12 points scored.
The loss leveled the overall series at 5-5 between the two programs and was Liberty's fourth setback in five games in Conway, S.C., since the series began in 2003.
Pat Kelly was one of the few bright spots in the game for the Flames. The senior finished the game with 16 receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown, setting a new single-game program record for receptions.
