The Liberty women's cross country team finished as the runner-up at the Winthrop/Adidas Invitational on Sept. 15.
For the second consecutive week, the Liberty men's cross country team is ranked No. 13 in the Southeast Region and the Lady Flames are listed at No. 15, as announced today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Liberty is joined by High Point in this week's Southeast Region men's rankings, with the Panthers re-entering the poll at No. 14. N.C. State now ranks No. 1 in both the men's and women's Southeast Region rankings. The Lady Flames entered a partial squad in Saturday's Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational in Earlysville, Va. Liberty finished fifth out of eight women's teams, led by the duo of Jessica Gass (28th place) and Caroline Parris (29th). Liberty's next race will be Friday's Notre Dame Invitational. The meet will begin at 2 p.m. at the Notre Dame Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind.
