Liberty Lady Flames' midfielder Natalie Barr garnered the NorPac Eastern Division Offensive Player of the Week award as announced Monday by the conference.
Barr has now collected conference awards in back-to-back weeks. Last week she was named the Co-Rookie of the Week. Barr is one of only two players in the conference's eastern division to earn a weekly award twice this season, with Appalachian State's Sarah Anderson being the other.
Barr helped guide the Lady Flames to a 2-1 double-overtime win over Radford on Sunday. The win marked Liberty's first NorPac victory in as many tries.
In just her second collegiate start, Barr contributed a goal on nine shots against the Highlanders. Her goal served as the equalizer after Liberty found itself in a 1-0 hole early in the second half. Five of Barr's nine shots came during the two overtime periods as Liberty controlled play, outshooting Radford, 13-0, during that span.
Liberty returns to action for its first mid-week game of the season with a visit to conference opponent Longwood. Game time against the Lancers is slated for 7 p.m. in Farmville, Va.
