Liberty midfielder Natalie Barr was named the NorPac Co-Rookie of the Week for the Eastern Division, as announced Monday. Barr shared the honor with Appalachian State's Caroline Phillips.
Barr, making her first career start, recorded seven shots, two goals, and an assist in the Lady Flames' 5-4 loss to the Penn Quakers on Saturday. Barr's five points against the Quakers set a new single-game program record for points and her two goals tied the Lady Flames' single-game goal mark.
Barr and the rest of the Liberty field hockey team take to the road on Sunday for their NorPac Conference opener versus the Radford Highlanders. Game time is set for 1 p.m. in Radford, Va.
