Liberty is gearing up for its spring game this Saturday, holding one of two practice sessions on Tuesday before the team will take to the field at Williams Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. for the annual event.
Following the afternoon workout, Flames Sports Network reporter Alan York had a chance to catch up with Liberty's assistant head coach and linebackers coach Carl Torbush and rising sophomore Nick Sigmon.
During the interview, York and Torbush talked about the development of Liberty's linebackers this spring and how things have changes for this group with head coach Turner Gill switching to a "4-3" defensive scheme.
Sigmon is coming off a redshirt freshman season where he ranked third on the team with 60 tackles (30 solo, 30 assisted), including 7.5 tackles for a loss and four quarterback hurries.
