After finishing their Big South Conference schedule with a 3-4 record this season, the Liberty men's tennis team has earned the No. 6 seed for the 2012 Big South Men's Tennis Championships.  The Flames will square off with No. 3 seed Coastal Carolina.  The conference office released the seeds late Sunday evening, with the Championships getting underway on Thursday in Asheville, N.C.

Radford claimed the regular-season title with an unblemished 7-0 record to take the No. 1 seed.  UNC Asheville and Coastal Carolina each posted 5-2 marks in conference play, with the host Bulldogs taking the No. 2 seed through the tiebreaking procedure.

Campbell concluded its first year back in the Big South with a 4-3 record, earning the No. 4 seed behind the Chanticleers.

The Flames and Winthrop stood tied with 3-4 marks, but the Eagles claimed the No. 5 seed based on their victory over Liberty in the regular season.

Following Liberty are No. 7 Presbyterian College (1-6) and No. 8 Gardner-Webb (0-7).

Liberty will play the last match on Thursday, taking on Coastal Carolina no earlier than 3:30 p.m.  The Flames and Chanticleers held the same seeds last year, with Liberty earning the upset win to advance.
