Portsmouth Invitational Tournament With one game under his belt in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament (P.I.T.), Liberty senior point guard Jesse Sanders returns to action on Friday, when he and his tournament teammates step on to the court against an opponent yet to be determined. Sanders and the rest of the Sales System LTD team are slated for the consolation bracket, following a narrow 74-71 defeat to Roger's Brown, Thursday. The floor general played a total of 16 minutes, chipping in four assists. Sander's squad now awaits the outcome of Game No. 5 between Mike Duman and Portsmouth Partnership. Game time for Friday's matchup is set for 3:15 p.m. Since its inception in 1953, the P.I.T. has drawn the attention of scouts, general managers and representatives from all 30 NBA franchises. Over the years, the tournament has showcased the skills of five of the 50 greatest players in NBA history – Rick Barry, Earl "The Pearl" Monroe, Dave Cowens, John Stockton and Scottie Pippen.
