Chloe McIntosh (1) and the Lady Flames' defense will look to hold off St. Francis, Saturday.

Matching up with its third Northeast Conference opponent in the last four games, the Liberty women's lacrosse team will meet St. Francis, Pa., for the third straight year, Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Lady Flames are coming off a 20-9 setback against George Mason, who closed Wednesday's game on a 9-0 run in the final 17:32 of play. Kristin Crowley and Nina Dunay paced Liberty with four goals apiece, while Morgan Becker also tallied a score.

Crowley now leads the team in scoring, with 15 goals and two assists on the year for 17 points.  Becker is next, scoring 12 times and chipping in four helpers.

Dunay's four goals on Wednesday elevated her into double-digit scoring, with 10 goals on the year. Dunay's 10 tallies have come in the last four games, as she made her return to the lacrosse field against Cincinnati (Feb. 4). The sophomore led the Lady Flames in scoring through six contests last year, finding the back of the net 21 times before suffering a season-ending injury.

Outside of the Lady Flames' National Lacrosse Conference opponents, St. Francis is the only team Liberty will have played each year of the program's existence.  The Red Flash claimed the first matchup in 2010, getting the home victory, 16-5.  Last year, Liberty leveled the series, taking its 2011 home opener, 11-10 over St. Francis, behind a five-goal effort from Dunay.

St. Francis will bring a 1-4 record into its matchup with Liberty.  The Red Flash took down Binghamton, 16-12, in their second game of the year, but have dropped three-straight since.  NLC member Davidson downed St. Francis (13-9), while St. Joseph's and Bucknell have also had a hand in the Red Flash's current slide.  George Mason gave St. Francis its season-opening loss by a 19-9 margin.

Junior Danielle Conwell leads St. Francis' scoring attack with 19 goals, doing so on 36 shots.  Conwell has also added four assists.  Megan Ross and Samantha Barton are the next leading scorers, with six goals apiece.

Caitlin Flynn has taken each start in goal for the Red Flash.  The freshman has posted 51 saves and has a goals-against average of 15.71.
