As the Liberty women's basketball team prepares for a weekend road trip to UNC Asheville and Gardner-Webb, Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Carey Green and freshman point guard Reagan Miller.
The Lady Flames, now 11-7 overall and 6-1 in Big South play, are on a season-best five game winning streak. Miller has played an important role during the team's recent run of success, averaging 8.0 ppg and 5.6 apg in the last five games.
Liberty is preparing for its first-ever contest at UNC Asheville's brand-new Kimmel Arena on Saturday, with tipoff set for 2 p.m. The Lady Flames will then remain within North Carolina on Monday for a rematch of the last three Big South Championship title games against Gardner-Webb. The contest will begin at 7 p.m. inside Paul Porter Arena.
