During this week's FSN Opponent Preview, Alan York of the Flames Sports Network takes a look at Liberty's game against Presbyterian College, starting a two-game homestand.
Liberty will be looking to make it three in a row against Presbyterian College, when it welcomes the Blue Hose to Williams Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Both Liberty and Presbyterian College remain in the hunt for the 2011 Big South Championship and the league's automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs. Last week, Liberty became the first team in Big South history to start five-straight seasons with a 3-0 league record, while the Blue Hose are 1-1 so far in league play.
Liberty's developing rushing attack could be a challenge for Presbyterian College, as the Blue Hose are surrendering an average of 245.14 rushing yards per game. The Flames struggled out of the gates to get their run game going, but have rushed for 865 yards and 13 touchdowns during its current four-game winning streak.
Presbyterian College will be looking to end a two-game losing skid in the "Hill City", including a 48-14 loss suffered to the Flames the last time they visited Liberty Mountain on Oct. 31, 2009. During that game, Sirchauncey Holloway (99 yards and two touchdowns) and Aldreakis Allen (92 yards and two touchdowns) helped Liberty rush for 232 yards and five scores during the victory.
