Liberty competed in the women's 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay Wednesday evening at the 2011 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships. The race was contested at Avery Aquatic Center on the campus of Stanford University. The Lady Flames' Bethany Wakeley, Brye Ravettine, Sarah McCorkle and Emily Mudd, all rising sophomores, swam the 400-meter freestyle relay, clocking a 4:03.04 to finish in 51st place. Mudd swam a 2:15.44 in a 200-meter freestyle time trial earlier in the day, trimming five seconds off of her previous personal-best mark in the event. Ravettine, Liberty's 50- and 100-yard freestyle record holder, will swim in the women's 50-meter freestyle prelims on Thursday. The top 30 overall finishers in Thursday morning's prelims will compete in the finals during the evening. The women's 50 free prelims are slated to start at 1 p.m. Eastern in the Belardi Pool. Additionally, McCorkle and Mudd will participate in time trials for the 50-meter freestyle on Thursday.
