The Cook Tennis Center as seen from the Hershey Tennis Courts.
As summer construction continues around Liberty University's campus, the Cook Tennis Center is just one project which is making steady progress toward its completion.
After having the ground broken on the project in early May, only a month and a half of work has seen a majority of the outside work be completed. Brickwork has been finished on three of the four exterior walls. The portion to be bricked, which faces the Hershey Tennis Courts, will also have a balcony extending from the facility's second floor. Brick pillars for the balcony's support are already in place.
On the inside of the tennis programs' new home, sheetrock has been installed throughout. Once completed, two locker rooms, training and laundry rooms, a stringing room, four offices, a kitchen area and a team room will all be available in the facility.
With a plan to be completed by early August, the facility is well on its way.
