After earning the runner-up spot at the 2011 Stetson Classic in DeLand, Fla., the Lady Flames will move down the I-4 highway for a pair of single games. Liberty will compete at UCF on Wednesday evening, before traveling to Tampa for a single game against No. 22 Texas A&M on Thursday morning.
Liberty will face off against the Knights of UCF on their home field at 7 p.m. Wednesday, before heading to Tampa to take on the Aggies at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Lady Flames, now 7-5 on the year, went 2-3 at the Stetson Classic over the weekend, defeating Iowa and host Stetson, before falling to Iowa, 4-3, in the championship game. The Liberty bats were hot over the weekend, as four batters hit over .300 and the squad recorded eight total home runs. Kelly Strickland leads the team with a .317 batting average, while Ashley Besinger has driven in nine runs for Liberty this season. Sophomore Katrina Johnson is pacing the pitching staff, posting a 1.28 ERA with a 3-2 record. Johnson has struck out 27 batters in 38.1 innings of work.

UCF The Knights are 9-17 on the year, after winning two out of three games against UTEP over the weekend. Allie Jest leads the squad with a .373 batting average, while Abby McClain is hitting .301 with 20 RBIs this season. Lacey Dinney is 6-4 in the circle for UCF, posting a 2.53 ERA with 60 strikeouts in 66.1 innings pitched. The Lady Flames have never beaten the Knights, with a 0-2 all-time record. In the last meeting between the two teams, UCF claimed a 3-0 victory at its home field on March 12, 2008. The Knights are 8-13 when playing at home this season.
No. 22 Texas A&M The No. 22 Aggies are 20-6 this season, and 11-0 on their home field. Texas A&M is 2-1 in away contests and 7-5 when playing at neutral sites. The team is now on a six-game winning streak after going undefeated at the Texas A&M Invitational over the weekend. In that event, the Aggies defeated San Diego State, Louisiana Tech and Mississippi Valley State. The Aggies are led by Rhiannon Kliesing, who is batting .452 with 12 home runs and 32 RBIs this season. Kliesing is one of five Aggie hitters batting .300 or better. Meanwhile, pitcher Lindsey Sisk is 10-2 with a 1.96 ERA, and has recorded 64 strikeouts and four shutouts in 87.1 innings. The Lady Flames and the Aggies have only met once, as part of a tournament hosted by Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Fla., on March 14, 2009. No. 18 Texas A&M edged the Lady Flames, 1-0.
