Liberty redshirt junior center Avery Warley has been named the Choice Hotels Big South Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Warley, previously honored on Dec. 7 and Jan. 25, is the only conference player who has earned a trio of Big South Player of the Week honors this season. For her career, the Washington, D.C. native is now a five-time Big South Player of the Week.

Warley averaged 13.0 ppg and a team-high 16.0 rpg last week, recording a pair of double-doubles during victories over Gardner-Webb and Winthrop. She now has a conference-high 14 double-doubles this season, including 11 in her last 13 games.

Warley got her week started with a 10-point, 20-rebound performance against Gardner-Webb on Saturday. Her 20 rebounds established a career high and were the most by a Lady Flame since Dec. 4, 1992, when Theresa Bream pulled down 23 boards against St. Peter's.

Two days later, Warley scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds versus Winthrop. She also played a key role in Liberty's 42-8 advantage in points in the paint during the contest.

Warley's week also included three blocked shots, pushing her to No. 4 on Liberty's career list with 96 rejections. She is climbing several Liberty career charts, ranking No. 3 in double-doubles (27), No. 6 in rebounds (783) and No. 14 in points (888).

For the season, Warley leads the Big South in field goal percentage (.573), while ranking No. 2 in rebounds (10.2 rpg) and No. 7 in blocked shots (1.0 bpg). During conference play, she tops the conference in both field goal percentage (.577) and rebounds (12.6 rpg), is tied for fifth in blocked shots (1.5 bpg) and sits at No. 6 in points (12.8 ppg).

Warley and the Big South-leading Lady Flames will take to the road for their next three games. Liberty will travel across the Commonwealth to face Radford Saturday at 3 p.m., attempting to avenge its only Big South Conference setback this season.
