Lady Flame Brye Ravettine was named the CCSA Swimmer of the Week, becoming the first Liberty swimmer to win the honor.
Brye Ravettine made history Wednesday, becoming the first Liberty swimmer to be named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Swimmer of the Week.
Ravettine earned the CCSA weekly honor after swimming season-best times in both the 50 freestyle (24.13) and 100 backstroke (1:00.34) at the Florida Gulf Coast quad meet on Jan. 8. She won the 50 freestyle event and finished in second in the 100 backstroke. Ravettine also recorded a season-best 23.73 split time in the 200 free relay. Ravettine and the Lady Flames are back in action this weekend, traveling to Lexington, Va. for a tri-meet against Mount St. Mary's and host VMI. The meet is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 2 p.m.
