With the Liberty men's and women's basketball teams now into the heart of Big South Conference play, the Flames Sports Hotline will return Tuesday at 7 p.m. Alan York will welcome head men's basketball coach Dale Layer and head women's basketball coach Carey Green, to discuss their respective teams' success so far this season.

The Flames Sports Hotline, a weekly radio call-in show, airs on Victory FM (88.3 FM), the flagship station for the Flames Sports Radio Network.

The weekly show is usually hosted locally in Lynchburg on Liberty University's campus at Doc's Diner. However, this week's edition will be broadcast from the on-campus Victory FM studio.

York, the new radio "Voice of the Flames," will host the 60-minute call-in show. Layer will join him for the first 40 minutes, and Green will be featured for the final 20 minutes.

Layer has guided the Liberty men's basketball squad to the best start in Big South Conference play in program history. The Flames won each of their first five conference games and currently sit in second place in the Big South at 5-1.

Meanwhile, Green's Lady Flames top the Big South women's basketball standings at 3-0, with all three victories coming on the road. Liberty is 5-3 on its current nine-game road swing and will play its first game at the Vines Center since Nov. 30, Monday at 7 p.m. versus Radford.

Those not able to participate in the call-in portion of the show are encouraged to email their questions for Layer and Green to, prior to the start of the show, or send direct messages to York's Twitter page (

Flames fans can listen to the show locally by tuning their radio dials to 88.3 FM Victory FM or one of the local affiliates for the Victory FM Radio Network. The show will also air live online at and can be heard by clicking on the link above.
