Emily Frazier was recognized as Big South Freshman of the Week, after her performance at No. 2/3 Baylor on Friday.
Liberty point guard Emily Frazier has been named The Crons Brand Big South Conference Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week for games played Nov. 23-29, it was announced today. Frazier, who earns this award for the first time, scored a team-high eight points at No. 2/3 Baylor on Friday. Playing within her home state of Texas, Frazier hit a pair of three-pointers, while grabbing two rebounds and dishing out an assist against the Bears. Frazier leads the Lady Flames and ranks No. 11 in the Big South (third among freshmen) with 2.8 assists per contest. She also sits second on the team with 1.7 steals per outing. Frazier and the Lady Flames (2-4) will play host to Glenville State tonight at the Vines Center, with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. It will mark Liberty's last home game until Jan. 17, as the Lady Flames will play their next nine contests away from the Vines Center.
