During this week's edition of the Gridiron Glance, LibertyFlames.com correspondent Nick Pierce had a chance to talk with Danny Broggin and Justin Gunn, who are part of Liberty's special teams units.

Last weekend, Broggin jumpstarted Liberty's 40-14 victory over Gardner-Webb, when the redshirt senior returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. This marked Liberty's first special teams touchdown of the 2010 season and the first time a Liberty player had returned a kickoff since last year's VMI contest.

On the year, Broggin leads the Flames by averaging 25.7 yards per kickoff return. The redshirt senior has returned nine kickoffs for 231 yards.

Gunn is one of Liberty's key blockers downfield, helping pave the way for return specialist Broggin to pick up additional yardage. Liberty enters this weekend ranked No. 35 in punt returns, as the Flames are averaging 11.28 yards per return.

As a redshirt sophomore, Gunn has seen action in all nine games and has five stops to his credit, including a sack against Savannah State and a quarterback hurry.

Broggin and Gunn, along with the rest of the Flames, will travel to Conway, S.C., this weekend to face Coastal Carolina in a key Big South Conference match-up. Kickoff for the contest is slated for 1 p.m. at Brooks Stadium.
