In this week's Liberty Flames podcast, the podcast replays this week's Flames Sports Hotline, where "Voice of the Flames" Alan York had a chance to sit down with head football coach Danny Rocco and associate head coach Pete Sundheim.

The Flames Sports Hotline, a weekly radio call-in show featuring Rocco and members of his staff, runs each Tuesday night at 7 p.m., airing on Victory FM (88.3 FM), the flagship station for the Flames Sports Radio Network.

The weekly show is hosted locally in Lynchburg on Liberty University's campus at Doc's Diner, and the restaurant is open to the general public. The show is broadcast live throughout the 50's-style diner and fans are encouraged to participate during the call-in segments.

York hosts the call-in show, which opens weekly with a 10-minute segment with a member of Rocco's coaching staff. This week's special guest was Sundheim. He is the senior member of Rocco's coaching staff, having served as an assistant coach at Liberty since 1989. Currently Sundheim is overseeing Liberty's running backs, a group that has shown improvement of late.

Following the opening portion of the show with Sundheim, York welcomed Rocco for his first segment. The pair talked about Liberty's 41-7 victory over VMI two weekends ago, what the team did during the bye week and how Liberty is preparing for its next road game at Presbyterian College this upcoming weekend.

In an effort to continue to expand its coverage of Liberty Athletics, the Flames Sports Network (FSN) has launched the Liberty Flames podcast, a weekly podcast dedicated to an inside coverage of Liberty Athletics.

The weekly podcast will be hosted by Alan York, of FSN Radio and the new radio "Voice of the Flames," and will feature weekly segments with Athletics Department coaches, student-athletes and administrators.

The show will be made available for download in various forms each week, including through the iTunes U directory. Fans wishing to have the weekly audio podcast automatically downloaded to their iTunes account just need to search for "Liberty Flames podcast" on the iTunes U directory and hit the subscribe button.

The Liberty Flames podcast will also be made available on LibertyFlames.com and can be listened to directly from the official web site of the Liberty University Athletics Department.
