Three days before a conference clash with defending Big South champion High Point, Liberty head women's soccer coach Jessica Hain chatted with Nick Pierce about her team's progress. The Lady Flames head into Saturday's contest touting a 5-7-2 record on the year and a 2-2 posting in conference play. Liberty is coming off back-to-back shutouts against Winthrop (1-0) and Gardner-Webb (3-0). In the Lady Flames' most recent contest against the Runnin' Bulldogs, three Lady Flames found the net – leading scorer Aimee Luurtsema, Silvia Betancourt and Maggie Woody. Midfielder Madison Short recorded a pair of assists in the contest, making her the team's assist leader this season with five helpers. Liberty's meeting with High Point will be its third-straight contest at home. Game time at Osborne Stadium is slated for 5 p.m.
