The Flames Sports Hotline, a weekly radio call-in show featuring head football coach Danny Rocco and members of his staff, returns this Tuesday night at 7 p.m. New for the 2010 season, the Flames Sports Hotline will air weekly on Victory FM (88.3 FM), the flagship station for the Flames Sports Radio Network.

The weekly show is hosted locally in Lynchburg on Liberty University's campus at Doc's Diner, and the restaurant is open to the general public. The show is broadcast live throughout the 50's-style diner and fans are encouraged to participate during the call-in segments.

Alan York, the new radio "Voice of the Flames," will host the call-in show, which will open weekly with a 10-minute segment with a member of Rocco's coaching staff. This week, York will begin the 60-minute show by welcoming offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter.

In his first season as Liberty's offensive coordinator, Streeter helped to orchestrate the No. 1 FCS scoring offense in the country, as Liberty averaged 36.36 points per contest. Liberty also ranked inside the Top 25 in several other offensive categories, including No. 21 in rushing offense (176.09 yards per game) and No. 3 in total rushing touchdowns (31).

Following the opening portion of the show, York will welcome Rocco for his first segment. The pair will review training camp and take a look at Liberty's Week 1 match-up against St. Francis, Pa., at Lynchburg City Stadium, this Saturday.

Rocco is entering his fifth year at the helm of the program and has guided Liberty to three-straight Big South Conference titles and four-consecutive winning seasons. For the first time during Rocco's tenure, Liberty enters the year nationally ranked in the official preseason polls, as the Flames are listed at No. 20 in the FCS Coaches poll and No. 21 in the Sports Network/Fathead.com Top 25 listing.

Following the first segment with Rocco, York will open up the phone lines and field questions from the radio listening audience or those seated inside Doc's Diner. Fans unable to make it out to Doc's Diner each Tuesday night may call in at (877) 401-9041 to participate in the weekly show.

Those not able to participate in the call-in portion of the show can also email their questions for Rocco to FlamesHotline@liberty.edu, prior to the start of the show.

Flame fans can listen to the show locally by tuning their radio dials to 88.3 FM Victory FM or one of the local affiliates for the Victory FM Radio Network. The show will also air live online at LibertyFlames.com and can be heard by clicking on the link above.
