The Liberty University Athletics Department has put together the following information regarding vital student instructions for Liberty's home opening football game against St. Francis, Pa., on Sept. 4. Due to the Williams Stadium expansion project, the game has been moved to Lynchburg City Stadium and the game time has been changed to Noon. Student Ticketing: Due to the limited seating capacity at City Stadium, tickets will be required to attend the game. However, FREE TICKETS will be available to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Distribution of the FREE TICKETS will be begin on Monday, August 30th and tickets can be picked up from two locations; The Vines Center Ticket Office from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Football Operations Center Ticket Office from Noon to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. A valid Flames Pass (new Liberty ID) is required to pick up tickets. A student can pick up multiple tickets at once, but must have a valid Flames Pass for each of the tickets being picked up. This means you can pick up tickets for you and your friends, but you have to have their Flames Pass in order to do so. Once at the game you will need to have both your ticket and a Flames Pass to gain admission. YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED UNLESS YOU HAVE BOTH THE TICKET AND A VALID FLAMES PASS. Getting to the game: SHUTTLE: We strongly encourage students to take the LU shuttle service to the game. The shuttle departs from the Vines Center/DeMoss bus stop beginning at 9:30 a.m. Return shuttles will be available at the conclusion of the game. DRIVING: Students wishing to drive to the game MUST park at the Scaremare parking lot and follow the established pedestrian walking route to the game. Parking is limited and once the lot is full, students will be referred to the Plaza where shuttles will be running to take you to the game. Please use the information above to create a game plan with your friends so that you can plan accordingly and have the best game day experience possible. Plan on arriving early, wearing red and being loud! On-Site Concessions: Liberty Dining and its affiliations will be serving normal Flames football game day concessions throughout the day at Lynchburg City Stadium.
