The Flames might have held their final practice of training camp yesterday morning, but training camp still had one last major item on the docket. Liberty's players, coaches and support staff all returned to the turf at Williams Stadium for their annual football media day and an opportunity to meet local fans.

The afternoon began with the squad taking its annual team photo at 2:30 p.m., in one of the new bleacher sections that was added to Williams Stadium during the summer months, as part of the Williams Stadium expansion project.

Following the team photo, players moved from station to station in their position groups, taking several different photos. Outside on the turf, the players took a position photo with their position coach, while all true freshmen had one-on-one photos taken with head coach Danny Rocco.

Inside the Williams Football Operations Center, players took a video headshot in front of a green screen, giving Liberty's Technical Productions the footage it will need to create video headshots for the Williams Stadium video board.

Additionally, each player had a chance to meet with Alan York, the new "Voice of the Flames," as they gave York sound bites that will be used as part of the Flames Sports Network's radio broadcast this season. Finally, each player took a still headshot in their red team jersey, which will be used in the Flames Illustrated game day program.

The 90-minute event was open to the public, as fans were encouraged to interact with the players in between their various photo day requirements. A large group of supporters, including members of the Flames Kids Club, were granted one-on-one time with the players and coaches, including several autograph sessions.

Following this evening's team meeting, Rocco will officially close training camp. The players will have the day off from practice tomorrow, as the University holds its first day of classes for the 2010-11 academic year.
