Big South Football Media Day Coverage

For the sixth year in a row, the Big South Conference will be providing free video streaming of its annual Football Media Day on the Big South Network. The Thursday afternoon event will serve as the official kick off to the 2010 football season and take place at the Renaissance Suites Hotel in Charlotte, N.C.

A preseason banquet will spotlight the day's activities, starting at Noon, where the Big South will announce the league's preseason all-conference teams, preseason Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year and the conference's team preseason predicted order of finish.

Following the midday, 90-minute banquet, the Big South will hold breakout interview sessions for the media in attendance. During the breakout sessions, the Big South Network will be interviewing various conference officials, the head coach from each member institution and a student-athlete from each program.

Liberty's head coach Danny Rocco and junior quarterback Mike Brown will be among the various personalities interviewed during the online session. The free, live web stream will be available from approximately 1:45-3:30pm on

Visitors can access Thursday's Big South Network broadcast by clicking on the "2010 Football Media Day" web banner on the front page of, which will re-direct them to the Big South Network's Upcoming Events and video portal.

Each team's head coach and student-athlete will be interviewed in 10-minute intervals. In addition, the 2010 Big South Conference football season preview video will be accessible for viewing beginning Thursday afternoon.
