From the media tribune overlooking the home straightaway at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., will provide live blog coverage of the 2010 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

We're back for day two in Eugene, and two more Liberty Flames will be in action today. First-time national qualifier Elliot Galeone will compete in the men's javelin, beginning at 8:15 p.m. Eastern and seven-time All-American Sam Chelanga will race in the men's 10K, starting at 10:25 p.m. Eastern.

Even if you're used to going to bed early, it might be worth it to stay up late tonight on the East Coast. Chelanga is the prohibitive favorite to win tonight's 25-lap race. If he is successful, he would become the first NCAA Division I national champion in Liberty men's track & field history and earn the adoration of these knowledgeable, enthusiastic Hayward Field fans.

For the third straight meet, I will be utilizing the CoveritLive blog interface. Please feel free to leave comments or questions, and I will do my best to answer you as soon as possible. Enjoy, and Go Flames!
