Jaime Watson has been named Big South Women's Track Athlete of the Week a conference-high four times this season.

Liberty redshirt senior Jaime Watson, the Big South's only female participant in this weekend's NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, has been recognized as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Watson (Ravenna, Mich.) clinched her first-ever trip to the NCAA national meet and earned the Big South weekly award with her performance in the 800-meter preliminaries, Saturday at the ECAC Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships in Boston. Watson's time of 2:05.42 broke her own Liberty and Big South records, while moving her up to No. 15 on the national performance list.

Watson will run the 800 at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, an event she has won six times at the Big South Conference level and once at the ECAC meet. She will compete in the preliminaries Friday at 8:10 p.m. Eastern, at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. The women's 800-meter final is slated for 8:45 p.m. Eastern on Saturday.
