As his team enters the final month of the 2009-10 indoor track & field season, Liberty head men's and women's track & field coach Brant Tolsma recently sat down with Nick Pierce.

The conversation highlighted some of the team's accomplishments at last weekend's Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup, including a new school record by Chenoa Freeman and another impressive performance by two-time Big South Women's Track Athlete of the Week Jaime Watson. Tolsma also looked ahead to this weekend, which will see his athletes divided between two meets, the Liberty Quad and the Tyson Invitational.

The Liberty Quad, the last of three home meets on the Flames' 2009-10 indoor track & field schedule, will begin Friday at 3:30 p.m., with the men's weight throw. Meanwhile, the Tyson Invitational will be contested at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark., home of the 2010 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships. Action at the two-day meet will get underway Friday at 1 p.m.
