Jaime Watson has qualified for the ECAC meet in four events already this season, including the 400, 800, 4 x 400 and 4 x 800.

After a busy and successful performance at the Hokie Invitational, Liberty redshirt senior Jaime Watson has been voted the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

On Friday, Watson (Ravenna, Mich.) ran a 2:12.4 anchor leg of the 4 x 800 relay, helping the Lady Flames break the school record with a 9:15.21 clocking. She then opened Saturday's competition by placing fifth in the 800, in a time of 2:12.00. Finally, Watson split 54.7 seconds on the anchor leg of the 4 x 400 relay, contributing to the No. 4 performance in program history, 3:50.71.

All three of Watson's times met the qualifying standards for the March 6-7 ECAC Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships in Boston, Mass. Watson has now qualified for the ECAC meet in four events, as she previously ran a 56.54 for the 400-meter dash at the season-opening Liberty Kickoff.

Watson is entered in the 500-meter run and 4 x 400 relay at this weekend's Liberty Open. The two-day meet at the Tolsma Indoor Track Center is scheduled to begin Friday at 3 p.m., with the women's pentathlon 60-meter hurdles.
