Lady Flames' Quick Hitters
-- Liberty lost its most recent match by a 3-1 score, Tuesday evening at High Point.

-- Sophomore Courtney Boggs started at setter in place of the injured Kallie Corbin. Corbin, the Big South Preseason Player of the Year had appeared in 117 straight matches to start her career, prior to Tuesday.

-- Boggs and freshman outside hitter Hannah Anderson both notched their first starts of the season at High Point. Twelve different Lady Flames have started at least one match in 2009 (including the libero as a starter), and only Nicki Scripko and Chelaine McCarty have started all 19 contests.

-- After hitting a match-high .517 with 18 kills at High Point, senior middle blocker McCarty is hitting .366 on the year. She currently leads the Big South in attack percentage and is on pace to break her own Liberty rally-scoring record in the category.

-- Junior outside hitter Scripko recently became Liberty's newest member of the 1,000-kill club. Now, a pair of her teammates are nearing milestones of their own. McCarty sits 77 kills shy of 1,000 for her career, while junior outside hitter Karyl Bacon needs 69 digs to reach the 1,000 mark.

-- Sophomore libero Kelly Haseman has recorded double-digit digs in nine consecutive matches, the longest streak of her career. She only needs 25 more digs this season to eclipse her total from her entire freshman campaign (307 digs).

-- The Lady Flames are attempting to avoid losing three straight Big South contests for the first time since dropping five in a row between Oct. 22-Nov. 6, 2005.

-- Liberty has won three straight home matches and five out of six contests at the Vines Center this season. The Lady Flames are 72-28 in their last 100 home matches, dating back nine seasons.

-- Liberty has served for at least one ace in 133 consecutive matches. The streak started Oct. 7, 2005 at Charleston Southern.

Scouting Report
Charleston Southern
-- The Lady Buccaneers are coached by CSU alum Danyel Bellush. She owns a 126-246 record in 13 seasons at her alma mater.

-- After a strong start to the 2009 season, Charleston Southern is looking to get back on track. The Lady Buccaneers have lost four of their last five contests, including a 3-1 setback at Coastal Carolina Tuesday evening.

-- Friday's match will feature a matchup between a pair of juniors who rank No. 1 and No. 2 in the Big South for kills. Scripko leads the conference list, and is followed by CSU outside hitter Amanda Hill. Hill, who went over the 1,000-kill plateau for her career earlier this season, sits second in the Big South in kills, fourth in aces, fifth in attack percentage and ninth in digs.

-- Liberty leads the all-time head-to-head series between the two teams, 27-4. The Lady Flames have won four straight meetings with the Lady Buccaneers and 13 consecutive matchups at the Vines Center. CSU's last win in Lynchburg came in a 3-2 victory on Oct. 20, 1995.
