Liberty, well known for its strong rushing attack, is starting to develop the reputation for being a school for wide receivers, as well. The Flames' wide outs have played a large part in Liberty's success this year, and in today's Gridiron Glance segment, visits with two of the position's starters in Chris Summers and Freddie Brown.

Summers is coming off a career game, as the sophomore entered last weekend's Lafayette contest with five career receptions for 58 yards. However, the 6-4 receiver had a breakout performance, catching 14 passes for 138 yards, including his first career scoring play on a 20-yard reception.

The 14 receptions tied a Big South Conference single game record, while the mark finished one catch shy of tying Liberty's all-time single game mark of 15 receptions by Josh Stofle against South Florida on Oct. 27, 2001.

Freddie Brown, along with quarterback Tommy Beecher, joined the Flames' roster this summer, after completing his undergraduate degree at South Carolina. The 6-3 receiver pulled in three receptions for 29 yards during Liberty's 19-13 victory over Lafayette, helping Mike Brown complete 29-of-36 pass attempts on the evening.
