Today, continues its weekly question-and-answer series, designed to give fans a unique look at the two-time defending Big South champion Lady Flames volleyball team. Lauren Bosché, one of five newcomers on this year's roster, is this week's featured Lady Flame.

Lauren Bosché joins the Lady Flames after a successful career at Cave Spring High School, in nearby Roanoke, Va. The setter helped the Knights capture back-to-back Virginia Group AA state championships in 2005 and 2006. She also tallied the second-most career assists (2,624) in Virginia High School League (VHSL) history.

As a senior, Bosché was tabbed an honorable mention All-American by and a second-team Group AA all-state performer. A versatile athlete, Bosché also high jumped at Cave Spring. She was the regional runner-up in 2006, after clearing 5-2.

Liberty fans will get their first look at Bosché and the rest of the Lady Flames Tuesday at 7 p.m., when the team holds its annual Blue-White Scrimmage at the Vines Center. Liberty will then officially open the 2009 season on Aug. 28 at 4 p.m., when the Lady Flames face UNC Greensboro at the Hilton Garden Hokie Invitational in Blacksburg, Va.
