Liberty football fans eager to see the start of the 2009 season will now have a few hours less to wait, as the West Virginia Athletics Department announced a game time change for its match-up with Liberty, Wednesday afternoon.

The Flames and the Mountaineers will now open their 2009 campaigns at Noon on Sept. 5 in Morgantown, W.Va. The contest, which will be played on Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium, was previously scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.

Liberty's second all-time match-up with a BIG EAST opponent will also be televised regionally on the
BIG EAST Network. The Flames first-ever contest against a BIG EAST foe came at Connecticut on Sept. 10, 2005.

Should television opportunities continue to alter the upcoming Flames football schedule, LibertyFlames.com will continue to post updates throughout the summer.
