Today, the "Rounding the Bases" segment features Beth Bennett, a senior infielder from Powhatan, Va.

Bennett, who is batting .347 in conference play this season, owns the Liberty record for most games played (242) and most games started (242). She has started every game of her career since she joined the squad as a freshman. Bennett also ranks fourth in career hits (201), fourth in RBIs (121), fifth in doubles (38), third in walks (91) and second in at-bats (715). She has hit 10 home runs this season, and needs only one more to join Liberty's top 10 single-season list.

Bennett recently won the prestigious Rock Royer/Mac Rivera award, the highest honor given to a Liberty student-athlete.

Bennett is a graduate of Powhatan High School, where she was a four-year letterwinner in softball and a four-time first-team All-District honoree.

What is your favorite Bible verse and why?

Matthew 5:16, because it says to shine for the Lord, and I love the concept of shining.

What has been your favorite class at Liberty and why?

Probably my kinesiology classes, because I am still a tomboy at heart.

I came to Liberty because …

Because of softball, and the Lord told me this is where I was meant to be.

Ruth, because she was so faithful to the Lord.

The Queen, so I could wear a crown.

Tennessee, because they are always amazing and it's fun to be able to say that we play them.

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

To fly, because I wouldn't have to walk.

I don't really watch any TV.
