Elliot Galeone's fourth 200-plus foot javelin throw of the season earned a fourth-place finish in the men's javelin college section, Saturday at the 115th Penn Relays.

Liberty redshirt sophomore Elliot Galeone took fourth place in the college section of the men's javelin, on a warm, sunny Saturday at the 115th Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. He was one of four Flames field event performers to post top 10 finishes on the final day of action at Franklin Field.

Galeone's (White Hall, Md.) best throw of the day reached 200-5, placing him fourth out of 30 competitors in his section of the javelin. It is the fourth time Galeone has hurled the javelin past the 200-foot mark this season.

Earlier in the day, Matt Parker (Sr., Rome, N.Y.) and Anthony Bryant (R-Fr., Charlottesville, Va.) placed ninth and 10th, respectively, in the men's high jump championship section. Parker matched his outdoor career best, sailing over the bar at 6-11.5. Meanwhile, Big South high jump titlist Bryant topped out at 6-9.75.

Sophomore Clarence Powell (Marianna, Fla.) triple jumped 47-5 in the morning's first field event. His effort netted ninth place in the college section of the event.

The Flames and Lady Flames will return to Lynchburg for their final home meet of the season, the Liberty Twilight Qualifier. The one-day event is set to begin Thursday at 3 p.m., at the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex.
