Wes Cheek and the Flames had their second practice of the week scrapped on Saturday due to inclement weather.

For the third straight day, weather played a factor in Liberty's spring football practice schedule, as the Flames had to scrap another scheduled workout session, early on Saturday morning.

The Flames were slated to take to their practice field adjacent the Williams Football Operations Center at 10:30 a.m., for their second practice of the spring. However, overnight weather left the natural grass practice field in an unusable condition.

This is the third straight practice to be effected by weather. Liberty was lined up to begin its annual spring practice schedule on Thursday, but had to cancel the session due to rains in the area. Yesterday, the weather broke long effort for the Flames to get in about 90 minutes of workout before another banned of rain rolled in the greater Lynchburg area.

The Flames will attempt to have their second of 15 workouts tomorrow afternoon, as Liberty will endeavor to return the practice field at 4 p.m., for a scheduled two-hour session.
