Liberty is ranked No. 19 in this week's CollegeInsider.com's Top 25 Mid-Major poll.

The Liberty Flames are ranked No. 19 in this week's CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll. Liberty, the fourth-youngest men's basketball team in the nation, at an average age of 19.31 per player, has been ranked in the prestigious poll for eight straight weeks.

On Dec. 8, Liberty was ranked No. 13, marking the first time the Flames had ever appeared in the Top 25, after receiving votes the week prior (49) and for three straight weeks early in the 2006-07 season. Liberty was ranked No. 12 on Dec. 15, but fell three spaces to No. 15 on Dec. 22 after tough road losses at DePaul (63-64) and Saint Louis (70-73). Liberty returned to No. 12 on Dec. 29, before falling back to No. 15 on Jan. 5 after a week that included a loss. Liberty split its games the following week, falling to No. 21. Liberty improved to No. 16 after a 91-80 road win at VMI on Jan. 17. The Keydets were ranked No. 11 that week, and the Flames snapped their 10-game winning streak. After splitting last week's games, Liberty fell to No. 19.

VMI improved to No. 12 in this week's poll and has been ranked in the Top 25 every poll that Liberty has appeared in, the first time in league history the Big South Conference has had two teams recognized on the list.

Liberty returns to the hardwood tonight, when the Flames host High Point. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., inside the Vines Center. The game will be televised on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN).
