From now until the end of the season, Liberty's six seniors will provide a unique look inside the women's basketball program, by way of journal entries. The series continues with Moriah Frazee.

Hello again from Moriah Frazee. It is hard to believe that school has already started again. Classes started last Monday, but I did not officially start classes until last Tuesday. I have one class on Tuesday, one class on Wednesday and one DLP (Distance Learning Program) class online. It is so nice to only have to go to class two days per week. I do have a clinical on Friday, but it is at the hospital and I really enjoy clinicals. They give us a chance to apply what we have learned in class in real-life situations.

I just found out my new clinical rotation for the next five weeks. I am going to be on the Oncology (cancer) floor at Lynchburg General Hospital. My teammate Alex Bream is actually going to be in the same clinical group as me, so I am looking forward to it. The next time I write, I may have some stories to share from my experiences on this particular unit.

Now, on to the topic of basketball. I am currently on the bus, traveling back from playing at UNC Asheville, and it is almost 1:30 a.m. It is going to be a late night, and I can't sleep very well on buses, so I figured I would go ahead and knock out my blog.

We just finished up a two-game road swing. We left campus on Friday and played at Presbyterian on Saturday. We came out with a victory, but it was somewhat of an ugly win. Nevertheless, a win is a win.

After the contest at Presbyterian, we drove about halfway to UNC Asheville and woke up Sunday morning to attend church as a team. The pastor of the church we attended (Forestville Baptist Church), Dr. Rob Jackson, was the campus pastor at Liberty during my freshman and sophomore year. It was neat being able to see him again and getting to hear how God is working in his life and his church. After church, we then traveled the rest of the way to Asheville for practice that afternoon.

And here is where the story gets even better. We played UNC Asheville at 7:00 last night. It was a big game in the Big South. Going into Monday night's action, High Point was 4-0 in conference play, we were 3-0 and UNC Asheville was 4-1. The game was even televised (on SportSouth).

The game started and things were going very well. We had excellent execution on both offense and defense. At halftime, we had a 23-point lead. It is the largest lead we have had the entire season entering the second half. Our team was pretty pumped up.

Our goal was to carry the same intensity into the second half, which I think we did. The final score of the game was 75-48. Needless to say, it was a very good road swing for Liberty. And, to make the night even better, we found out that Winthrop beat High Point. So, we are now the only undefeated team in the Big South, which propels us into sole possession of first place in the conference! To God be the glory!!

We continue conference play this Saturday against Charleston Southern. We are going to be playing at home for our next four games, so I encourage those of you who can, to come out and watch! For those of you who are not able to attend, we will keep you posted!

I hope all of you have a fantastic week and I will talk to you again soon!
